Filtering is still not working......my filter name is --bad stuff-- I have Rockford Symphony in my filter......so if it appears it should discard it and it did.....filtering is not working for me--
It took 4 agents and 3 hours of waiting for support before someone was able to find the problem I was having..........xfinity support really needs help......the process is terrible........also the email filtering process could have provided better guideance to eliminate the need to contact support...........so here is the answer to my questions on email filters.........
Step one...... u open your email and look at your whole inbox. If you get email from a source you want to FILTER Out open it so you will get the senders actual email address.
Step two....copy that address by high lighting it and right click on your high light and select copy.
Step three go to the little gear box at the top right corner of your screen and click on it.....s
Step 4 Click on settings
Step 5 a selection will appear called Filters under the Email section.
step 6 click on Filters
step 7 set up the filter and if you use sender/from and set condition . the condition should be pasted and contain the email of the sender (was copied in step 2)
,,, paste the copied address into the field. your rule should be Disgard

You never asked a question, nor provided any of the information that forum members would have needed to help you. We can't answer questions that were never asked.
Step one ... Step two ... Step three ... Step 4 ... Step 5 ...
Or, after Step 1, you could just click the small "hamburger" menu and select "Create filter rule", and then proceed to Step 7.
step 7 ... your rule should be Disgard
Consider starting out by moving filtered mail to a temp folder you create. That way you can check that the filter is working properly and not dropping mail you don't want it to drop.
I totally get it; same problem here that just recently started right after I got a notice from Comcast that they were changing their Spam protocol so make sure to check your “Spam Box”. Now I get the spam-phishing-fraud emails from the Prince from Nigeria, Login Attempt Blocked, your Amazon Prime has been cancelled because of expired payment, I know your secrets send Bitcoins... and none of my filters work. If I had to copy/paste and block every single from address I would have 100x the number of filters enabled. If I put in “Amazon” in the from or “Prime” in the subject, or “Bitcoin” in the body and then create the filter to “reject” I feel it should absolutely reject with the reason “Spam Fraud Phishing” It’s Now Impossible THANKS XFINITY

Please describe what you mean by "not working", and post the not working filter. Don't post any email addresses.

One example I have Staples as a filter---If from has Staples then it should not be allowed to send me email and it will not block it....

If you post a description of the filter, or an image of the filter, or a link to an image, like this:
and describe what you want it to do and what isn't working, we might be able to help.
Without that information there's nothing we can do.
