Email being read out loud as you compose it??

When composing an email in Xfinity Web email, my husband hears the words being read back to him out loud as he types them. He must be inadvertently turning on some feature, but I can’t figure out what it is or how he’s turning it on.

Any help would be appreciated!

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028598/windows-10-start-or-stop-narrator says:

There are three ways to turn Narrator on or off:

  • In Windows 10, press Windows logo key + Ctrl + Enter on your keyboard.
  • On the sign-in screen, select the Ease of access button in the lower-right corner, and turn on the toggle under Narrator.
  • Go to Settings  > Ease of Access > Narrator, and then turn on the toggle under Use Narrator.

I wouldn't know.  Sorry.  But checking to see if it's on is one solution.

Under Settings/Ease of Access check to see if the Narrator is turned on.
