Email Safe List not Working

I was email spam-bombed and turned on the Safe List to reduce the massive amount of junk email. Unfortunately, the email list does not work. I entered about 50 emails but nothing arrived overnight. I finally added my work email address and send myself several emails. Nothing arrived. Is this something that can be fixed? I've read similar stories in these forums but apparently it was never fixed. 

 

For now I am turning on filtering (even though nothing in the safe list gets through) so at least I don't have hundreds of junk emails waiting in the morning.

 

Please Help!
