I have had comcast email on my mac for years. Recently able to receive but not send email. Deleted the account on mac to try and add new account back and keep getting error message, Unable to verify account name or password. I am sure it is correct, as I am able to log into comcast email on internet

Do you mean you are using Mac Mail? Can you see the account in the left pane of Mail? If so, right-click on it and select the Edit option. Then click on "Server settings". Input the password into the field for both incoming and outgoing. Does that fix it?
