Can’t find TreasuryDirect.gov

I was having issues accessing TreasuryDirect.gov when I was on my home network.  I could access the site when I was on a cellular network but not on Xfinity.  After a long and unfruitful call with customer support I realized I would have to solve the problem myself.  I found the IP address of the webpage and discovered I could reach the IP address directly from the Xfinity network.  I surmised the problem was actually the Xfinity DNS.  I switched to the Google DNS and voila I can access the website on the Xfinity network.  As a side benefit the Google DNS seems to be faster.

I am also a  TreasuryDirect.gov user. I just logged on without issue via comcast.net.

Forgive me if the following seems insulting or intrusive.

 

1. Are you using the same browser on both devices.

2. Have you ..ever....logged onto the URL with the same software/hardware configuration?

3. Have you changed the browsers setting possibly since an earlier successful logon. If it's been a while, is it possible you've forgotten a "settings review session" where you did play with or change some settings?

4. Try some type of incognito mode.

I tried it and got straight on with no issues---------------
