Adding an email and other questions

I tried to add another email, but it would not add unless I filled out the other info needed and it not accept it unless you know the other info. Can I change the existing email instead? Will it accept any name you use or does it filter it if it has been used? Will this email filter out spam? I am getting TONS of spams on another email server.

What "other  information" are you referring to?  Are you getting any error message during the attempt to set up a secondary account?  And if the user ID (that part to the left of the @ symbol) is already taken, you will not be able to use it.

When I try to add another email or even to change it, it comes up with a box to fill out for account settings with account name, your name and email address. Then they are asking about incoming server info of IMAP, server connection, server port, etc. Then they want info on the outgoing server info SMTP of connection security, server port, etc. I am totally lost.

This  is a bit  confusing.  Are you trying to create a secondary Comcast email account?  Or are you trying to add an existing account to a client  like Outlook, Thunderbird, or Windows 10 Mail?  Or the mail app on a tablet or phone?

I am trying to add another email account to my Comcast but it will not let me. Apparently, talking to a human being I would get better results. Thanks anyways.
