Account Recovery
I created a comcast.net email account when I was living with my parents about 15-20 years ago. The account associated with the email address is now closed since my parents are both deceased and I'm now renting in a household with Xfinity service.
I continued using the old email address even after the service was disconnected primarily for my gaming logins, email subscriptions, and other personal uses. I recently was notified by one of my credit card companies that my old Xfinity email address was "found in the dark web". I wasn't sure what that meant so I just decided to try and change my password.
I then realized my password was no longer my password, and that I was hacked! Is there a way for me to recover my old Xfinity ID that's 15+ years old? I tried to change my current Xfinity ID to my old one, but I get the message "Unknown Provisioning Service Error".

Being on the "dark web" means that old email address was gleaned from some security breach in the past. If it's been inactive for a long time it will no longer be valid. You can call Comcast security and see if they can get it back-------------------------------
