Security system looses internet connection

I have my own modem and wi-fy router which Comcast connected a netgear router for the security system. Security system constantly looses internet connection forcing me to reboot every day. This seems to be the piece of hardware that cannot auto reconnect. No internet issues with any other hardware attached. Started day after getting e-mail stating I should upgrade modem. Believe this to be deliberately caused by Comcast. Any ideas?
