Factory Reset Touchscreen After Cancellation

I canceled my home security and have to return the touchscreen. Do i need to do a factory reset or erase my personal information somehow before sending in?

I just canceled my home service after two years and they said I can keep the touchscreen.  That doesn't really answer your question, but I would confirm with them that you need to send it back.  Not sure what else it'd be good for though.  It's essentially an Android tablet but is likely just a paperweight for most people.

I just cancelled mine after over 6 years of service. I too was told that I could keep my touchscreen but then received a letter that I was required to return it or I would be charged a fee. When I called Xfinity to find out why and what I would be charged I could not get and answer
