Alexa and Xfinity - 2020

Why is it that Xfinity will not enable Alexa as a skill?  The messages in these forums go back over a year asking the same question.  Either tell us that you are never going to do it and allow us to opt out of the service or give us a real date when it will be enabled.  Currently, it is possible to setup a 4K camera system for the same price as my Xfinity monthly bill, which doesn't give that much flexibility.  While I would love to have all my tech services enabled under one system.  It doesn't seem likely that this is ever going to happen.

Four service calls to get the cameras installed, which should have been a single trip, missing parts, which caused a second trip, dead on arrival shipment of Camera, and being charged incorrectly almost every month.  Why continue with Xfinity into 2020?

Never say never but it does take two companies to make an agreement. No one can/will comment until there’s some kind of announcement. As a consumer, you’ll have to make decisions based on current information

You may trust Amazon to keep your privacy safe, but given its recent fiascos with the Ring service, there's no way I'm going to enable any internet facing third party device (let alone one from a company like Amazon) access to my home security system, potentially opening up my home to attack. I'm cancelling my subscription if they ever do.

I agree with DarkAngelic. I'd cancel if Xfinity ever linked Alexa or a Ring Doorbell with anything in the Xfinity ecosystem. Naked Security included a Ring in  "things you should never buy for your home. ". The Xfinity ecosystem works well as it's built. I can control from my tv and tv remote, as well as iOS apps.
