Trying to get service to a new address

I’ve been trying to get xfinity to my new home that is served by AT&T. I’ve called about this before, but I don’t understand, xfinity services the homes 3 doors from my house in the same neighborhood.

Hi @Mtvnuccio

Sometimes when communities are planned and built there's swiss cheese in terms of the coverage, and this applies to any internet service provider.

Most of our service is hybrid fiber coax (HFC) meaning there's a fiber backbone and it's converted into copper coax cables, and there's a distance limit of 300 feet due to the physics of the coax cable is able to carry before signal degredation, and so there may be construction and plant extensions needed.

Private message me (click on my name) and if you have a ticket number, provide it and we'll take a look at your setup. There may be cost contributions if it is a construction job, and we can do estimated costs as well via our specialists.

My parents are trying to get service at their house too but when we look up their address it says it “can’t confirm address”. Do I need to speak with someone or find a different provider?

Hi there! I'd be glad to ensure that this gets looked into further. Please click on my handle (ComcastRob) and send a private message with your name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number, and any pertinent details-- like the ticket number(s)-- so we can help.
