I just signed up for XFinity service (already starting to regret it due to atrocious customer support over the phone a bit ago), but my service address is showing as "Apt 1" of my new home. The house is not subdivided into apartments--it may have been at one point, but now my wife and I own the entire property. I am trying to get my address updated so it does not show as an apartment, as I'm worried that signing up for service at "unit 1" will keep me from using the cable outlets that are in parts of the home that used to be "unit 2."
Can someone please help me resolve this? I have been on hold and fighting the automated customer support to try to speak with a person for a half hour. I am very frustrated and considering already cancelling my service, as I'm still within the 30 day grace period where I can cancel without a fee being charged.
Hello bremler. Welcome to the Xfinity Forums and thanks for creating your post. It sounds like we may need to submit a ticket requesting to have your address changed from multiple dwelling to single family. I can assist with submitting the ticket requesting this for you. To get started, please send me a private message and include your full name and service address so I can assist you. You can click my name (ComcastJoeTru) to view my profile, and then click "Send a private message" to private message me.
