SOLVED: Renewing Contract for January

Edit: Situation Solved.....

Why can't I renew my contract early before the end of December 31st?

All I am trying to do is plan ahead to have a new contract that takes effect January 1st, 2021.

All I am asking is to keep the same service I have going now at the same price that I've been paying since 2020. Why is that so difficult to meet my request?

I am not demanding anything cheaper or special services or anything of the sort, just the same service at the same price that I've been paying since 2020. Why is that so hard?

All I am trying to do is plan ahead of time. Simple!

That's not going to happen... my price went up $20 per month.  I'm sure they added a lot of useless stuff (channels) for the $20 a month increase.  It's time to pressure the FCC to take action.  These pacakages they have with the most popular shows all in different packages.  They want $201 a month.  Where I live we have "Last Century" phone service.  They are offering DSL at 10 mb.. when it works via copper lines.  We had a big power outage by us that damaged their 1990 equipment.  It was down for a week, and some parents needed that for distance learning.  Yet out the West Coast, the same company has fiber.  For TV they offer us satellite.  Again 1960 FCC rules that need to be abandon.

I was able to renew another 2 years at $190 a month for Double Play.  Only $10 a month less then Triple Play which was what I initially had the last contract.  Yet, getting the phone service is $24 a month.. so I don't understand that.  They can't offer me the Triple Play and just deduct the $24 they charge for the phone service.. which really isn't $24, you have to rent their modem for $14 a month.  I pay $5 a month (Ooma) for my old phone number that I keep to give to people I don't want to have my cell phone number.  At least with double play... I'm not paying for 911 service and Internet service to schools.

I am deaf and I don't need phone service. Useless for me.

All I need is basic TV and Blast Internet. Reason for that is I use a video deaf relay service whereas it's like using Skype, I see my deaf interpreter via webcam (see Sorenson.com for more details of the deaf service I use) and they see me, so I sign in Sign Language and they relay what I am saying by voice to the person that I am calling on my behalf. Video relay services needs a very strong internet speed so the video quality does not stutter on either end of us.

It would be difficult to read my deaf interpreter if the video stutters alot at 10MBPS. But with Blast around 250MBPS, it helps stream our video relays a lot more smoother and no stuttering.

I tried explaining to them I am deaf and they're refusing to work with me. So I dunno what else to do and I am afraid they'll raise the rates on me and it would force me to cancel the service because my wife and I are not only deaf, we're also disabled, so we are on disability. Raising the rates on us would make it more difficult for our monthly budget. We need the Blast service for our communication needs both video relay and emails.

I've tried twice over the phone (via internet relay service) and they're refusing to help me have a reasonable budget. I am currently paying $109 per month and to us that's very reasonable. They won't let us keep the same rate for another year. 😞
