Plant extension

My house is currently 350 feet off of the rd. The nearest tap is another 190 feet. I was told it would be 5,000 to run a plant extension from the nearest tap to my house underground. I have a light pole at the end of my driveway. Would it not be easier and cheaper to run the tap 190 feet out to the pole at the end of my driveway above ground and then get the tech to run his wires underground to the house? Both of my neighbors live the exact same distance from the pole and have Xfinity internet. Just want a little help to see if I should just give up on Xfinity or if there is something else that can be done.

That’s a discussion you need to have with the local construction team. It’s their call, their system, they’re the ones that have to design the build, get permits etc.
