My account has been activated but the network light on modem is still off.

I placed an order on Jul 24. After waiting for about 20 days, I could talk to the specialist through Facebook. Long story short, he persuaded me to upgrade my service and I did it, and he activated my modem also, however my apartment has not been connected to the network yet! And after activation, the support team does not answer me on Facebook! Anyway, please help me to resolve this issue as I am struggling to have the internet at home for my university courses. The Comcast support team really disappointed me...I shouldn't face so many problems after 30 days from my first order 😑

Is there more than one outlet you can connect your modem to to see if the one you're hooked up to now is not working?
