Cannot add More Sports and Entertainment package to get TCM

Recently signed up for a triple play promo package which includes PreferredTV+Blast+Phone. We are using (2) Cisco RNG200N DVR boxes in NON-X1 mode.

As a long time old movie buff (87 yrs old) I always enjoyed TCM and was disappointed to find that TCM was no longer included in any of the TV levels. Seeing that it  was available as an addon at $9.95 per month in the “More Sports and Entertainment” package, I clicked on an external Xfinity link, logged into my account on the PC and tried to add it.  I received a cryptic error message with error code DFPLN4033. Went on CHAT and tried to get it added by an agent who could not add it.

Anyone have experience with this issue ? Would appreciate any help available from the Comcast folks who follow this forum.

Update 02/23/2021.

I am updating my post to thank the Comcast reps for their responses (in private messages). After I actually approved adding the “More Sports and Entertainment” (MSE) to our plan I was informed that I would have to update our old NON-X1 boxes to X1 boxes before they could add MSE to our Preferred TV plan. BTW the only reason I am investigating this package is to get Turner Classic Movies (TCM).

We have been using (2) Cisco RNG200N DVR boxes for ages and have been happy with the response and reliability of the boxes (as long as the signal being sent to the house by Comcast is clean). I have seen numerous postings by frustrated customers who have had problems with the X1 system.

When I log into my account and click on the “Add Premium Channels” I see a slew of channels I can add, including Starz and Epix. Interestingly though I DO NOT see MSE. Seems weird to me that I can apparently add Starz or Epix to our plan on the old boxes but cannot add the MSE package.

The MSE package is not a premium channel.  It is an add-on package.
