Broadcast TV Fee $11.70 + 3.17 other TV fees for Internet Only Plan

I just signed up for xfinity internet plan.. internet only.  No tv, no streaming.. nothing at all.  even declinded the "free tv" service they offered me.  I'm looking at my plan and they are charging me $11.70  for Broadcast TV Fee and another 3.17 for

TV Franchise Fee $2.75
TV Public, Educ & Govt Fee  $0.35
TV Regulatory Cost Recovery $0.07

 

I clearly only selected Internet, My receipt clearly only says Internet.  What kind of a scam is this?

Your issue has been escalated to the Comcast Corporate Team available to the Forums.  A member of that team will reply to your post as quickly as they are able, so check back often.

I appreciate your diligence in monitoring your bill for any questionable charges and bringing it to our attention right away! If you recently removed cable services for an internet-only plan, you may be seeing partial charges from those fees if the service change was done mid billing cycle. I would love to take a look over your account to see if this is the case or make any corrections.
