Almost $1K in payments within 2 months?!
I paid a past due payment in late December. Paid another Jan 16. Another $227.76 is owed now, with another payment due by Feb 15. That is a full payment every two weeks! I have been bombarded with "reactivation fees" of $18 per month alone, as well as late fees which I was to understand they weren't charging due to covid. I tried to call customer service for help, but the automated system will not connect me to a customer service rep.

I have been dealing with essentially the exact same situation you have described for going on about 18 freaking months now. I started out simply wanting internet service and that's all. They told me I needed to get the double play package with internet and home phone because the internet by itself would actually cost more than it would be to have them both with the bundle. So I accept the offer and agreed to pay $69 per month. After a couple months went by with my bill being as expected it started creeping higher and higher and by the end of 12 months it was now $127 or something very similar. Well, that became difficult for me to manage on a very low income and so then the late fees and disconnect fees started getting tacked on. So of course I had an even more difficult time managing paying it because I was only ever agreed to pay $69. After about 4 years of this stupidity going on I started noticing that no matter what I paid or how recently I paid off my past due balance the billing details on my online account always showed I was still one month past due plus had just a few days until the next one would become past due as well. So for example I had to pay $330 ish to get reconnected on one occasion because I had been one month behind and when i went to pay it it claimed that as of that very day my charges for the current cycle had changed to being past due as well. So I paid it, got reconnected and thought to myself that at least I would be good for awhile considering the large payment I'd just made. Within that same calendar month I awoke to find my service disconnected again and my account showed that I was currently one month behind despite the fact that isnt even possible and gave me the option to reconnect if I agreed to pay within 7 days. So ok I agree to pay my supposed arrears within 7 days thinking I can come up with the $127 to pay the one month past due even though it didnt seem quite right. But lo and behold, when I go to pay 7 days later I'm now magically two months in the hole because guess what? The current bill just happened to YET again become past due on the same day i was trying to pay just like what happened in the first place. So, somehow within the space of no more than one month and one week 3 months worth of charges moved from current to past due
