"Unlimited Data" is apparently not

I signed up for an Unlimited plan.  The contract I signed stated that the length of the contract was through December 2021.  However, this month I suddenly get notifications that I have used 90% of my data.  Which is supposed to be "unlimited".  Guess not.  I contacted customer service, only to be informed that they are putting a cap on the data.  (Perhaps one should then change the name as it is most certainly not unlimited.)  When I asked why this was being changed for us at this time, as our contract ran through December of 2021, I was told that they could change the contract at any time.  What is the purpose of a contract then if the terms can be changed whenever? If I wanted to change my contract in the middle of it, I would be penalized, however Xfinity can just change it at their convenience?  How nice for them with people out here still trying to do school and work from home.  I am not seeing this on the website when I look up the unlimited data plan.  It still seems to say it should be unlimited.  So which is it?

Comcast has set "unlimited data" at 1.2TB, which the majority of customers would never use, even during this pandemic.  The only plan that doesn't have a data limit is Gigabit Pro, which is pretty pricey at about $300 per month.
