Collection account

I have an old Comcast bill that was sent to Sunrise collections,they keep calling me to pay the bill. When asked if they could remove it from my credit report they tell me to contact the original creditors but still pay them, didn’t sound right to me. I just want to settle the account and have it removed off of my credit report. Would rather pay the person who’s gonna remove it then jump through hoops with a collection agency. Please help who do I contact to settle this?
