It's absurd. If you search for the HD technology fee in support, it doesn't give you any answers. I don't see any way to manually add or remove the HD technology fee for HD either. The fee is very obviously kept to small print on certain screens only so that people don't realize it's a thing until it's too late. Ideally (for Comcast,) they don't realize until they're in too deep and will pay the 10 dollars anyway.
