Ziply to Xfinity

I am moving to a home that had ziply as their service, but I am transferring my xfinity account to my new home. Do I need anything to make this transaction run smoothly?

First. Are you certain that Comcast service is actually available in your new area?

Second. If it is, you have to find out if your new premises is still connected to a live Comcast feed. If not, you'll need a tech out to reconnect you to the tap on the street /pole.

@EG Thank you! Yes Comcast is available. We are moving into our parents home. I know they previously had comcast, but recently switched to Ziply. I don't use Ziply so I just want to make sure when I move in next Saturday I will have internet. I already scheduled the move on the xfinity app, but according to the app I should be able to connect it by myself. Is this true with my situation?

@user_Bjh1 That is an excellent question! I would be happy to look into your transfer order and verify if the address is connected or if it needs to be.

Could you please send our team a private message with your full name and full address?

To send a Private message to Xfinity Support from any Forum page:

Click "Sign In" if that prompt is visible

• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

It may or may not be possible depending on whether or not they disconnected the other end of the line from the tap (Comcast feed) on the pole / pedestal. You may need a tech to reconnect the premises. Then, when and if there is a connection, the modem will need to be activated for service (providing that you already have an active Comcast account / service).
