You've blocked ecobee.com as malicious
During some sort of upgrade you did, you blocked 216.220.52.141 as malicious, causing ecobee thermostats to go offline. This ip does not ping thru your own routers. Ecobee.com tech support is aware of this issue and they, along with many frustrated xfinity users, are waiting on you to fix this. There are already posts popping up on Reddit and other social media platforms about this issue. When will this be fixed?

And you need to get the word out that this needs fixed on your end to your support staff. I have called in 4 times in the last 2 days and got a runaround each time.

I was able to get my ecobee working by turning off advanced security in Xfinity. Not a great solution, but at least it's working again.

To send a direct message (private message);
Click "Sign In" if necessary.
Click the "Direct Message" icon in the upper right corner or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard to send it.

Seriously, I just got off the phone with Ecobee after 45 mins and they told me to call Xfinity. After another 30 minutes with Xfinity, they claim it will be fixed in 2 hours. Don’t believe it.
