Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly - Motorola MB8600 + ASUS AX6000
I just bought a new Motorola MB8600 modem and activated successfully. I have internet if I connect my PC directly to the modem. But once I connect the modem to the router (Asus AX6000), the router complains "Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly".
I saw similar problem like this thread (https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Your-ISP-s-DHCP-is-not-functioning-properly-ASUS-router/m-p/3331178#M322290). In the thread above, @ComcastChe was able to solve it by sending a provisioning signal to the modem.
Can someone help me? Thanks
Kai

First. You need to power cycle/re-boot the modem each and every time that you change the device that is being directly connected to it in order for that device to be able to get an internet connection.

If you have a router that has a MAC address cloning feature, you can clone the MAC address of the computer that works into it. This will trick the modem in to thinking that that computer is connected to it and not something else.

Yes, I shut down both first. Turn the modem on and wait until it works. And then turn on router. It still has the same issue.
I have to put back the old TP-Link modem back and everything is fine now. Don't know what went wrong on the new Moto modem.
