"Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly" - ASUS RT-AC68U Router

Similar issue as this thread https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Your-ISP-DHCP-not-working/td-p/3239115

I switched to a new Arris SB8200 modem and it works well with a computer connected directly to the Ethernet port.

But the ASUS RT-AC68U router that used to work with the old modem now reads: "Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly"

Tried the "Aggressive Mode" and the "Continuous mode" troubleshooting options while cycling off and rebooting and also rebooting while disconnecting the CAT6 LAN cable.

Any thoughts further thoughts?

On the WAN screen try changing the MAC address. You can use the Clone button to clone the MAC of the device you are using to access the router pages. After doing that, reboot the modem. This should force it to get a new IP address.
