Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly - ASUS router

I am having the same issue as several other ASUS users have reported in the past: "Your ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly" and no internet connectivity (e.g.,

https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Your-ISP-s-DHCP-is-not-functioning-properly-ASUS-router/td-p/3331178, https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Your-ISP-DHCP-not-working/td-p/3239115   ) with my ASUS router, but I can reach my ASUS router from my laptop.  Direct (wired) access to tge internet via cable to cable modem with my laptop works fine.

It's not that the router is defective, it worked until a few days ago.  Also, I tried another ASUS router, and got the same, so it should not be faulty hardware on that particular router model either?

Would appreciate if somebody from Comcast could help out.  I know

@ComcastChe has been helping several users with this issue, and I'm hoping you might help me as well.  Thanks so much in advance.
