xfinitywifi network does not prompt

Hi, I’ve been using the xfinitywifi network on my laptop. After turning it off last night I opened it today and when I try to connect to the xfinitywifi network it connects, says no internet and nothing else happens. Usually a prompt would appear so I can sign in, but that didn’t happen. Even if I open a webpage to try to force the prompt it does not appear, and the page does not load. What can I do?

Edit: maybe a related issue: when I tried connecting to the XFINITY network instead it accepted my credentials but still says no internet...
2Edit: it was my VPN! Apparently xfinity doesn’t like vpns
