@user_hnhx75 We do not have an official rollout for the new XB10 Wireless Gateway. As with all of our new product rollouts, there will be limited availability at the start and only qualified customers in certain markets will have access to it at first. Then it will be rolled out to customers in certain plans and after our inventory has been stable and built up, the general availability will expand. We are currently testing the device through employees in qualified markets/networks.

@Logoner Well that is [Edited: "Language"] so I would have to downgrade or remove services to get it? LOL In any case I luv tech and will get this bad boi at some point rest assured despite any hoop fruit loops! Last I heard from mostly the Pilipino call centers who know nada was 1st 1/4 2025 but who knows all these roll outs if you recall historically akin to the XB8 were identical. Just brth pangs people...
@eg7789 Was this ever answered? A tech in trying to fix a problem replaced my xb8 with the xb7, wasn't the problem, and wouldn't change it back. I don't want to go to the store and get an xb8 back if it prevents me from getting the xb10 as we both have wifi 7 phones and will be getting a new laptop this year.
bballjer44 We are not yet offering XB10 modems to the general public due to further testing. We do have a small group using them which is also part of our testing period. We are hoping for a release later this year, here is more information on the XB10 modem (https://corporate.comcast.com/wifi).

Hey there, @para325! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on Xfinity Forums. I completely understand the frustrations, we are currently testing the device through employees in qualified markets/networks. At this time, they are not fully available, and if your account is eligible for the device when they roll out you will receive communication via email or text message.

My Xfinity market doesn’t have DOCSIS 4.0 or X-class internet available yet. I would venture to guess that those markets like Atlanta and Philadelphia will see availability first. Mine - I’ll check back late 2026. 😬
There is some serious misinformation sprinkled around this thread. The XB8 modem/router is existing DOCSIS 3.1 capable modem that most areas have access to now. Even if your not in a mid-splits neighborhood yet (with 100-300mbps uploads) you can still get the xb8. However, it will not support FDX DOCSIS 4.0 traffic (or to translate the x class internet 300mbps - 2gbps symmetrical service). There are two things that are holding up comcast scaling out DOCSIS 4.0 right now; first - the availability of amplifiers to deploy and second the availability of modems (namely the XB10). The XB10 is ESD and FDX DOCSIS 4.0 capable modem and once it becomes available in large quantities will enable comcast to accelerate rolling out symmetrical speeds.
Good afternoon and thank you for your interest in the XB10 modem, Seafire! I am excited to upgrade to the XB10 as well! What a great device! We plan to have getting started kits available later this Spring for customers in our Next Generation or Enhanced Speed areas. Just a little bit longer!

Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB10) The latest generation Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB10) is the first device to combine Unified DOCSIS 4.0 technology with the new WiFi 7 (802.11be) standard, delivering ultra-fast, multi-gigabit speeds.
With WiFi 7, it offers much faster speeds and better network capacity. This is achieved through wider channels and advanced features that handle more data at once, making it perfect for homes with many connected devices or for high-bandwidth activities, like streaming 4K videos and online gaming.
The Xfinity Advanced Gateway XB10 is displayed.

I recently signed up for the x2gig plan. Becasue the XB10 is not available, I was set up with an XD4 moden connected to the XB8 for the router. The problem is I can't get 2 gig on my network. This is because the XB8 only has one 2.5 gig port, and this is used up linking to the modem - leaving me without a 2.5gig port to connect my network. The only 2gig service I get is if I connect directly to the extra port in the modem, but then I'm not connected to my network.
The installer had plugged the extra port on the modem direct to my network, bypassing the router. This doesn't work because there is no way to assign IP's when bypassing the router.
I don't think that Xfinity is aware of this limitation and that they are not delivering on the x2gig plan.
So my question, given the XB10 not being available, am I missing something on being able to connect my network to my 2gig service?
@kirkyg Exactly. And it's great to be early and eventhough I cannot attach my network @ 2 gig, it's nice to have the 1gig down/up for syncing Onedrive. It's also an acceptable temp solution to have my primary computer hooked up do the modem so I can get 2.5 gig down/up.
But it will be super when I can get the xb10. And again, I'm wondering if I'm missing something that would be a workaround for getting 2.5 gig on my network.
No doubt from what I'm reading volume production is here so it shouldnt be long. There are 2-3 manufacturers providing hardware as well. Not sure how much I'd trust a 1-2gb upload over coax but I guess we'll see. Never thought I'd see the 360mbps I'm getting now.
Hi there, duck9000! Thanks for reaching out about the network setup! I understand wanting to use the faster port for your device. The XD4 has 2 10 GB ethernet ports. Is the XD4 being used as the router?

AFAIK, the XD4 is a straight / plain vanilla DOCSIS 4 capable cable modem. It doesn't have a built-in routing function. It is typically paired with an XB8 (until the new XB10 gateway devices are available) that gets connected to one of the ports and operates in Ethernet WAN mode instead of in DOCSIS mode. This provides the customer with a router and wireless access point. The other 10GB port can be connected to a computer or another router. X-Class tiers are currently set to allow the customer's XD4 modem to pull two WAN (public) IP addresses, so you can use both 10GB ports on the XD4 at the same time, but on two completely different LAN networks.

Hello user_n6bhb4. Thanks so much for your interest in the new XB10. I know that some people have been anticipating this new device launching for some time now, and I'm hearing good reviews so far. ♥️
Currently the XB10 is only available for customer that are in our Next Generation speed enhanced areas and have our X Class 500 internet speeds or higher.
You can easily check if your home is part of X-Class supported area by visiting our X-Class site.

I guess the XB10 is just like the Five-Year Price Lock!! You hear about it everywhere and they send you emails, and it is nonexistent!! What wonderful marketing Xfinity has, and it is no wonder why people are jumping ship. Lots of advertising for what is not available!!!

I am told that if you have an XB8 gateway already, you will not be eligible for an XB10 upgrade.
