Xfinity wifi/hotspot signals

This past week I noticed some slight interruptions in my service, I'm running 1.2Gb service on a XB8, these stutters were across all my devices... Cell, consoles, Chromecast. It appears that Xfinity must have pushed out a patch to the gateways that's now broadcasting an additional signal? Previously as most, I'm familiar with the "XFINITY" & "xfinitywifi" signals, but this past week since I've been having issues I've noticed a third broadcast... "Xfinity Mobile". Whether these interruptions are connected I can't get an answer to yet, but it's highly suspect that all my devices seem to be jumping to the Xfinity signals during use this past week since this third signal has been added. Anyone familiar with this third signal? I've not been able to find anything online about Xfinity pushing out a third broadcast for Xfinity wifi.

Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums, @Jessecru! I know your post is from a couple of days ago, but are you still experiencing the same issus?

@XfinityTimothy I was able to turn off all the Xfinity hotspots, still unsure of where the third signal came from "Xfinity mobile" as I haven't seen anything online about Xfinity pushing any updates to the gateways.

That's definitely a bit odd, and there isn't anything new as far as a third WiFi signal. Were your devices jumping to that Xfinity Mobile signal?

I thought the same, and yes they were jumping to the "XFINITY" and "Xfinity Mobile" signals. Which usually I wouldn't notice if my main Wifi Signal went out for a second or device jumped to the "xfinitywifi", however the multiple reconnections caused me to look into.

I'm glad you were able to shut off those networks. I've had a similar situation in my home (although not with a third network), and I had to do the same thing to stop the network-jumping. Is there anything else going on with your service that you need assistance with?

I no longer work for Comcast.
