Xfinity System Upgrade- Loss of Stable Connection

Recently Xfinity had our local system "upgraded" to something- never heard details of what it entailed.   After the upgrade, we consistently have experienced very poor connectivity, making working from home difficult.  2 techs have been to house and fixed problems outside and have both told me we "should" upgrade our modem, telling us that it will "work" but can do better.  I pay for the1gB service, and my system can't get better than that with the equipment I have., so buying a new modem to get to 2.5GB seems stupid, unless the old one is functionally obsolete.

My modem is a Netgear CM1150v  (bought in 2019) which by specs will suffice for our needs for speed and unitl now, has been performing acceptable.  Doing ressearch of online posts and forum that I should review the upstream/downstream power and T3 issues.  I'd like to troubleshoot the modem before I simply go spend more $$ on a newer one.

Same exact scenario as mine with the “upgrades” in my area then going out every day.

Have had two techs come out, they’ve determined it’s a Comcast / xfinity issue and they don’t know when it will be fixed. This started in May. They refuse to credit me until their issue is fixed and still expect me to pay my bill every month

for the record, I have a brand new top of the line Orbi Wifi 6 mesh system, so upgrading your modem won’t do anything at all.

When you get a chance please post what comes from a traceroute , say, to xfinity.com

Same boat, right after upgrades. Obviously there's an issue and it seems they're stalling us till they can fully finish whatever they started? Something...

Hello @Cavtanker. Thank you for reaching out with your internet issue. We would be happy to look further into this for you.

Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?
To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
