Xfinity speed test won't run

Xfinity speed test won't run but used to a couple days ago. Clicking on start or the settings gear does nothing. But clicking on the More About Speed links on the left side of the screen do work.

Any ideas how to get this working again?

Thanks

I am so sorry to hear that you are having an issue getting to the speed test and getting it to run. Are you using it through the app or the website when you have this issue? As far as the recording options are concerned it is possible that a program may run over as far as sports programming, however it is a fairly limited occurrence when this may happen. I will most certainly ensure that the feedback and recommendation is forwarded so that this option may be available in the future.

Download, install, and run this speed testing app;

https://www.speedtest.net/apps

It bypasses any browser variables and is a most direct connection ! And it is very very accurate !!!

The Xfinity speed test stopped working on my Windows desktop PC, but it works on my wireless devices.

I can run other speed tests so that's not an issue. I want to know why the Xfinity one stopped working on my PC.

I'm having the same trouble with the speed test site. It is generating the following error:

"Opps. Something went wrong"

I've tried running it on all three browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome without any browser plug-ins enabled and I'm still getting this same issue.

Hello @robbiestewart89, Thank you so much for letting us know you are having issues accessing our speed test page using the Xfinity community forums! We definitely want you to be able to check your speeds how it is easiest for you! Since this is on more the one browser, if you are still running into issues, I recommend restarting your device and trying once more after making sure your device is showing connected to your Xfinity home network. Let me know if you are still running into the same error message.

@XfinityAmanda

I'm still having problems with two desktop PCs that are Ethernet connected to an xfinity modem/router. Clicking on Start or the settings gear does nothing, yet the links on the left side of the screen all work. And my wireless devices work. Something has changed in the past few weeks where xfinity does not work with my wired devices. Did xfinity change something where it does not work with older PCs?

Thank you for reaching out @user_793642 ! I am sorry to hear this problem continues to be ongoing. Based on the information you provided, I am not seeing a known issue currently throughout Comcast. That certainly does not mean one don't exist. For troubleshooting purposes can you try a different browser? Also have you cleared your cache and cookies?

I no longer work for Comcast.
