Xfinity Pods are slow
I purchased three pods several months ago to help the wifi in my home for my kids in-home schooling. The pods didn’t work well with very slow download speeds. I had a tech come and move a new modem to a central location. The pods are still extremely slow. I’ve been told I should expect speeds of 200mbps by Comcast agents. The speeds are an inconsistent 30-60mbps. No matter how many times we reboot the system, and agents have tried several times, the speed is awful. Is there anything that can be done? The pods have been a terrible investment in money and time. I’ve been a customer for more than 30 years and have never been more disappointed.

I had the same problem and laughed when I figured out the solution...
You literally have to put the xfi pod halfway from your modem to the intended area. (if your modem is at the back/front of your house the xfi pod has to be in the middle) Went from 20mbps to 300mbps just from putting it in the middle of my home. No lie. Find the distance by testing the speeds in the original room you were getting low speeds as you put the pod closer to modem.
