XFinity Pod Ethernet Unidentified Network No Internet

Hello i recently got the pods to help extend my network into my basement where my office is.  The pod alone wasn't enough as even though the pod is between my computer and the Gateway it won't connect to the pod, so I ran an ethernet cable from my comp to the pod hoping to get a better signal.  However when I plugged it in all it says is Unidentified Network No Internet.  I know the pod has internet it shows a few devices connected to it.  Please assist.

It is unfortunate to hear that you have been dealing with some network issues when trying to connect to a new device. This is not the kind of customer experience we want you to have.   •    Click "Sign In" if necessary
  •    Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
  •    Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  •    The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •    - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •    - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  •    Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  •    Press Enter to send it
