The concern is not "Home Security Devices And Equipment" help related........... Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

The basic difference is that the XB10 is for DOCSIS coax cable service and the XER10 is for EPON optical Fiber To The Home (FTTH) service.

Hi there @user_noidtt, That’s a great question! Here's a breakdown, hope this helps!

The XB10 (Xfinity Advanced Gateway): This is our most powerful all-in-one gateway. It is designed for standard coaxial cable connections and is the first to use DOCSIS 4.0 technology, which allows for symmetrical multi-gigabit speeds (meaning your upload and download speeds are equally fast).

The XER10 (Xfinity Wifi Router): This is a specialized Ethernet router specifically for customers in Fiber-to-the-unit (EPON) residences. Unlike the XB10, it doesn't have a built-in cable modem because it plugs directly into a fiber optic terminal.
