Xfinity Modem only Outputting 100 mbps
Hi! I have been having an ongoing issue with service. I have the 900 mbps plan and whenever I try to hardwire my pc to my modem I receive under 100 mbps. On WIFI I will receive upwards of 650 mbps on my iPhone and 200 mbps on my PC. I have have 3 Xfinity Technicians come out and been on the phone for countless hours trying to get this resolved.
Here is what we have done so far:
- Replaced Modem
- Replaced Ethernet Cable
- Replaced cable coming from ground outside house to modem
- Checked speed to house before modem (house is receiving 1800+ mbps)
- Tried 4 different devices connected to ethernet
- Tried all 4 ethernet ports on back of modem
- Tried having Xfinity support check/reset bootfile
- Tried terminating my current agreement and starting new agreement hoping it would send new bootfile
All of this has failed and Xfinity is pretty much telling me there is nothing they can do. Any advice? It's very frustrating paying for 900 mbps and only being able to use 200 mbps on WIFI or 100 mbps hardwired.
