Xfinity is scamming customers now with it's promotional "upgrades."

Since I don't have to much time and need to go to bed soon I am going to try and make this quick although maybe I should do this better and more lengthy at another time. However, back in March 2022 I started out with 50mbps service. would barely get 20 mbps. Preface: running ethernet cable through Xfin gateway. I went nuts on customer service. Had service technicians out here 3 times replaced all the outside cable and plugs inside the home. What was it a year later they upgraded the service to 75mbps and I would get higher than that. Then a short time later, the upgraded to 150mbps and then I get 80-110mbps. Just a few months ago found out they have been charging me for that rental modem I returned over three years back in early 2023. This is where their scam service really starts to show. Customer service "you are eligible for a promotion upgrade." Upgrade from 150mbps to 300mbps, 2 weeks later, not receiving the 300 mbps service. Well you need to upgrade to 1gb mbps!!

waited a few weeks. Ok lets do it. after a week nothing still only  getting 200mbps tops. Customer service "Your modem is only 850mbps that's why you are not getting 1gb speeds." So...."How do you explain my perfectly working modem that can transfer data speeds well above what you are providing me?" customer support "We'll send you our brand new Gateway with 1gb+ speeds." Went through all of the setup and yet no increase in speeds at all. Now I'm paying $20 more per month for essentially the exact same data plan I had before without any extra service.
That is what you call a bait and switch or a scam.
So I had probably spent a total of 8 hours in the last few months with customer service and I could tell them to just downgrade my service plan back to 150mbps and that might actually be a bump up in service I might maybe get 250mbps.

Goes to tell you it's not my ethernet cables. I've check all the bandwidth on the lengths, etc Wifi connections from my own router is very weak right next it. Meaning Xfinity is throttling the internet service it claims to provide.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I've already been down this hole with you customer service before as I previously mentioned and no results. What do you think you are going to do about the poor service now?
