Xfinity is not the best and is over priced

I pay for the supposed "fastest internet" but my kids constantly complain about lagging I experienced the same thing. There are always extra chargers on my bill. There customer service is beyond trash. My granny has At&t and her internet is on and running right now where mine has been off almost 24hrs. Definitely know it's time to look for another provider

Divide your networks up (2.4ghz 5ghz and 6ghz if applicable, but hide this network as hardly anything has 6ghz capacity atm)
If you're running your modem off a splitter, consider changing the splitter as it may be going out.
--Swap your modem out for a "newer one"--
If you know what you are doing with IP Configurations, assign specific devices to dedicated IPs and the use of only certain channels.
-Gaming consoles on Ethernet Connections
-TVs on 5ghz

-Security devices on 5ghz
-Laptops/PCs on 2.4ghz

Remember, some radio and 'emp' frequencies can also interfere with your modem.  Such as CB radios, Older Microwaves, some Furnaces and AC units powering on/off, etc.

user_hk6c73 Do you see a service interruption or planned maintenance notification from the Xfinity app by any chance? Also, what charges are you referring about? Is it about a data overage?
