Xfinity Internet Drops approximately 45 mins - multpile critical errors generated.
Moved units within the same apartment building 2 weeks ago. A technician had to come out to do a professional installation because my building has fiber so they had to install Xfinity equipment to connect the fiber to coaxial. Inside the data panel, there is a written note stating that one of the coaxial cables (total of 3) behind the drywall is cut and will need to be repaired - no documentation as to whether or not that has been done. The technician tested the coaxial connections in each room and did not detect a signal interruption so he stated he didn't think it would be an issue. He then proceeded to reactivate my equipment, and replaced my previous gateway (a tall rectangle with status lights on the front) with a new gateway (short and wide cube shaped box with one status light and 2 ethernet ports on the back). Installation and activation was relatively uneventful - at first the technician was told by support on the phone that he would have to replace all of my equipment with new equipment because my old equipment could not be transferred, but when he called and spoke with a different support person, they said they could just manually add my old equipment to my "new" transferred account. I don't know if this is significant but felt it worth mentioning. Ran a speed test, speed was good and experienced no issues until about 15 mins after the technician left. The connection drops from the modem every 45-60 mins without fail, predictably. I have reached out to support, but they've only instructed me to power cycle my gateway, which I have done repeatedly to no effect. Please see below for stats. Please help! downstreamevent logupstream
