Xfinity Hotspot Pop Up Window Broken

Randomly one day, I was logged out of both xfinity and XFINITY hotspots (im assuming there was an update) Before, I’d select the network and the pop up would ask me to install a secure profile. Usually this didn’t work, but if I let it sit for about ten minutes it would eventually give me internet capabilities. It was already hit or miss and drive me insane. Now, when I try to connect to “xfinity” on my Mac running high sierra, it gives me a pop up window to log in but there are no text areas for credentials or clickable buttons. I’m left with an infuriatingly half loaded page that gets me no closer to accessing the hotspot.

When attempting to login to “XFINITY” it tells me that I am simply unable to connect, not giving me a pop up at all.

I’ve tried restarting my computer and forgetting both networks. No luck. Help please, my work depends on my ability to connect to internet.

Welcome to our community forum, @user_de529d! I love being able to connect to the hotspots when I'm out and about so I don't have to use my mobile data so I want to make sure you're able to enjoy this feature as well :). Is this happening at a specific location or any hotspot you try to connect to? Are you having issues with your username and password on any other Xfinity sites or apps?

@XfinityEmilyB I have no issues with login information on other apps, and this situation only seems to be happening on my iMac running high Sierra. I’m using the hotspots at 1160 S Main St in Middletown, CT. All other devices work just fine on the hotspot- an xbox, two iPhones  two smart televisions and the router seems just fine. The only thing that is giving me issues is the login page for the hotspot, it also did not show text boxes for login info when trying to connect via a separate Xbox. It seems the login page simply doesn’t fully load, but I have no problem getting to terms and services, privacy policy or simply navigating the xfinity site. The only issue is when attempting to log in

Thanks you for those details, @user_de529d. When did the issue start? Have you ever been able to get this device connected to the hotspot at this location? Is this a unsecure, public "xfinitywifi" network you're attempting to connect to? Do you have the latest software update installed on that device?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityChe the issue began last week Monday. The device routinely connected to either xfinity or XFINITY but even then it was hard to get past the install secure profile page when attempting login. After letting it sit for about thirty minutes, then the internet would work. High Sierra is not the latest software update but many people I’ve read in xfinity forums operate on that system. Other than that all browsers and apps are up to date.

Thanks for clarifying, @user_de529d!  Can you please try updating your firmware and try again and let me know if that helps? We want to make sure that isn't the issue before suggesting that you make any other changes.

I no longer work for Comcast.

I am having the same problem, it lies with your web development team designing an incomplete webpage. It asks you to sign in, but provides no text boxes with which to do so. Please fix your [Edited: -profanity] or charge people less for your [Edited: -profanity] service. Thank you.
