Xfinity gateway

I am having problems accessing my xfinity gateway website. The default password was initially password just as the username is admin, However, I changed the password but I am not sure how to get my password back or access the gateway

If you changed your ID or password but don't remember it, you can do a factory reset to restore the default settings. 

Here's how:

  1. Unplug your gateway's power.
  2. Press and hold the Reset button using a pen or an unfolded paperclip to push the recessed button on the back panel of the gateway for at least 15 seconds and then release it.
  3. Plug the gateway back in.
  4. Hold the button for another 30 seconds.
  5. Wait for your gateway to restart.
  6. Log in with the password on your gateway's label.
  7. Change your name and password to something easy to remember.

Any devices connected to the WiFi (laptop, tablet, phone, etc.) will be disconnected. When you’re done, reconnect to your WiFi and enter your new network name and password.

If you own your own modem, you can go to the manufacturer’s website for more specific information on your device.

Some gateways don't have a separate recessed reset button, so you need to use the WPS button. Press and hold it in for 25-30 seconds.
