Xfinity Gateway Consistently Slow

I recently upgraded my service from to 1Gbps with the Xfinity Gateway instead of my personal router.  Since upgrading my speed has been significantly less than I was previously receiving, even though I'm on a more expensive/faster plan.  This needs to be resolved because I'm not getting the product I am paying for.
