Xfinity Factory Reset my router

I received a notification today that XFinity had factory reset my router and that I needed to set it back up again. Nothing prompted this, it happened completely out of the blue. I went through the process in the app and have been stuck on the "finishing setup" screen for the past 20 minutes. The modem keeps going between green and yellow blinking lights. A wifi network that matches the one on the bottom of the modem appears, but it does not have any connection. Please help me fix this as I am a college student in the middle of midterms and I really don't have time for this.

You did the right thing to try and activate it in the Xfinity app again. Please send us a direct message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the direct messaging icon located at the top right of this forums page.

 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message
