Xfinity Enhancements in the area

Hello,

We had some Xfinity enhancements in the area yesterday.    Seems to be completed.    Ever since then our internet will be on as normal and then drop for awhile.   Get back on and drop for awhile.   It's just been a pattern since the enhancements yesterday.    I tried the Xfinity assistant and it tells me my network is fine and there are no interruptions in the area.    We do have the Gateway in Bridgemode to an Eero which is our mesh network.

I have unplugged the Gateway and Eero multiple times and same issue.    Any ideas?   Could the issue be the Eero connected to the Gateway?   Prior to this once in a while the internet would drop for a couple of minutes and come on, but outside of that, no issues until the enhancements in the area.    Any comments or ideas would be appreciated.   Thanks.

loudawg26 thank you for using the Community Forums page to reach out regarding the enhancements to service in your area. I know how important working service is, so we never want to hear of concerns with connection drops. How frequent are the drops in connection and have you noticed them occurring with any patterns?

@XfinityMarcus Hello,  thanks for the response.   Last night i disabled Bridge Mode on the Xfinity Gateway which now made the Gateway a Modem and Router again.    The Eero is still connected as it was before and all the electronics are still on the Eero's network.   Once i disabled bridge mode, internet worked as normal and didn't have any drops any more.   Been working great since.   So right now, we have the Gateway network and the Eero network both running.  Disabling bridge mode on the Gateway seemed to stabilize the Eero itself and it's distribution of Wi-fi.   Seems kind of weird, but that could mean the Eero is getting old or too many items connected to that one Eero.   I have two other Eeros in the house on opposite sides.  The Gateway and main eero are in the middle.

In conclusion, disabling bridge mode helped the connected eero and eero's network while the Gateway Network is now on as well.

Any feedback would be appreciated.   Thanks!

Thanks for clarifying! Since you disabled the bridge mode and got a better connection it is possible that there could be an issue with the Eero device.  I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to see if there's any updates that can be done to make sure your devices working correctly or any upgrades that may be needed for your device.

We also have our awesome Xfinity boost pods https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/wifi/xfi-pod that you can purchase. Now if you have our Xfi https://www.xfinity.com/learn/internet-service/xfi-complete  complete on your account,  twice a year the Xfi complete runs an entire Wi-Fi assessment of your connection and your speeds, so if you have that on your account which you would either see a price for that of $25.00 a month or it could be discounted listed on your xfinity bill https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/viewing-your-bill-online-ecobill on page 2 under “regular Monthly Charges”

What that will do while you have your Xfinity modem disabled from bridge mode is  allow the Xfi complete to start running assessments on your Wi-Fi coverage,  which if it does determine that your Wi-Fi coverage in your home needs to be boosted you would receive al notification on how to claim the one free boost pod
