Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB7) may have been damaged by a power surge - please help!

Hello, it was storming at my place last night and during the storm the internet went out. After waiting for the storm to pass, I unplugged the power cable from the gateway and waited 2 minutes. When I plugged the power cable back in, the status light flashed white 4 - 5 times in short bursts then nothing. The status light indicator showed no light at all, as if the device had no power. The device also does not respond to a manual factory reset via the reset button on the back of the gateway. My guess is that a power surge during the storm caused something in the gateway to fail, hardware wise.

Any device, or declaration that it is fried would help immensely as I just need to know so I can get it replaced.

Thank you
