XFI XB8-T with Allied Telesis AT-GS970M/10PS

Switch connection is directly connected to a port in the back of XB8-T

1.  Having issues with DHCP.

2.  Devices plug into the switch is not getting a DHCP address from the XB8-T

3.  The address is APIPA 169.

Tested other Brand switches - same.

user_zyrmwa, with our normal connections, you would need to ensure you are using bridge mode when having a different device manage your connections for you. Have you ensured that you have the correct settings in the Xfinity app?

If you have a two-box setup that you are trying to use your equipment to replace a portion of, we do have to make additional adjustments on our end to enable your device to work in place of ours.

Hello and thank you for the info.
@XfinityAmandaB

I am simply using the switch as a L2 flat switch.  We do not need  to put it on a bridge mode.  I would like to use the xfi as the main router/modem and provide the dhcp addresses to the devices that are connected to the allied telesis switch.  I have confirmed that the switch has the right configuration.    Thank you and please advise.
