XFi superpod Ethernet Backhaul with XB8 + smart switch
I'm trying to use my superpods (XE2) via ethernet backhaul to a smart switch which is then connected to the XB8.
In the past with an XB7 this worked well - I just needed a smart switch with 802.1q VLAN support to make it work.
This approach doesn't seem to be working with the XB8. Is there a specific port I should use to connect to the smart switch? I'm already using port 4 as a 2.5G uplink to a 10G switch. Are there specific 802.1q settings I should be using?
Note: backhaul directly to the XB8 with 2 superpods (ports 1 and 2) work fine. I have to use the 3rd port for another device. I'm trying to use a smart switch with the XB8 because I'd like to connect a third pod via backhaul to the XB8.

Hello, xf_user1! We do not officially support managed switches when it comes to hooking up our WiFi Boost Pods. We recommend using an unmanaged switch. You can find answers to similar questions here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-pods-faqs.
Excerpt:
If you’re using an Ethernet switch, some managed Ethernet switches can block the signals necessary to hardwire your gateway to your Pod. If you think your switch might be blocking the signals to your Pod(s), try the following steps:
