Xfi router keeps rebooting when I start using the web every morning.

I just changed/upgraded to a Xfinity router for Xfi. It seems to work ok but at times I lose my internet connection and the normally light blue light is orange and the green and back to light blue and I am back connected. I assume it is going thorugh some updated? I have been a Comcast customer for many years at the same address and MY router never had this problem. 

 

 The timing of these restarts have not caused any issues yet but why are they happening.. Most common is around 2:30 AM when I get online for work.

FWIW, the overnight hours are indeed their window of opportunity for network maintenance / upgrades / firmware updates.

Thank you for the reply, but is there anyway to change the settings so it is not "undating" in the middle of the time I am using the internet? Even my TV updates has a setting for changing the time it performs daily update.

No, sorry. Something else may be going on with the connectivity to their system.

 

For giggles, what do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
