Xfi pods offline
both my Xfi pods continue to end up in offline status. Troubleshoot button in xfinity app does nothing to resolve. Solution seems to be to remove pods and RE-activate. It’s happening every few weeks and takes lots of time to delete and reinstall. Is this normal? Do you have a way to insert serial number into the app manually so I don’t have to personally go to each pod location to hold the phone 6 inches away. Very frustrating. My conclusion is leaning towards these things are useless if they require this reset process this often. What can I do?
more info. One of the pods is about 30’ from the gateway. And the other about 60’

Hey, @Gregake820! Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! I apologize to hear of the issues you are having with the xFi Pods going offline. Have you tried to bring them closer to the modem to see if they would go back online?

The pods are not as good as many third party options out there. To my knowledge, there is no KB as to how to set up a third party (eero, or deco, or anything in simple steps). I only use the pods because I need some wired connections that don't connect to wifi well. And there is no way to use the ethernet over power either in my situation. I still wish home builders, and my house is 10 years old, would put a switch in the house somewhere to centralize internet connections and then use cables to create backbones vs the wifi itself.
Net is the PLUME pods are ok but not the best.
PS my generator and Denon do not have or like WiFi hence the wired connection need.

Yeah I’m not convinced this technology works well enough to be sold. Sick of it. Sell stuff once it works well.
