xFI Pod makes a sizzling sound
I have an xfi pod that i've had for a couple months. last week I noticed it to start making a sizzling sound that doesn't stop. I have unplugged it, moved it to a different outlit, reset it. No changes have occured.

Some second-generation pods have an internal cooling fan to regulate their temperature. If you have this model and notice a loud noise, it could indicate a problem with the fan.
Taking it to your local Xfinity store to be swapped out for another would be the fastest option, or ship it back for free via UPS and have them ship you another one. You can also choose to pay for a UPS pick up at https://www.ups.com/us/en/business-solutions/pickup-dropoff-options/ups-on-call-pickup.page or by calling 1-800-PICK-UPS.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out here on the community forums, user_tfkfio! I'm sorry to hear that your Xfinity WiFi Extender has stopped working properly, and the fact that it's making a sizzling sound is definitely concerning. The good news is our extenders come with a 1-year hardware warranty, and you should be able to exchange it by filling out the Xfinity WiFi Extender Return Form! Please note that the replacement can take up to two weeks to arrive after the return is received.
Please let us know if you're able to get that submitted!
