XFi pod backhaul

Trying to hardwire my new XFi pod (2 port) which the FAQ says is possible with my XB8T (I checked the firmware versions from the FAQ and they are up to date).

I can’t get it to work through my unmanaged switch, a Netgear GS308. It works if wired directly but where it needs to go to cover my house, it was to go through that switch. Anyone know if this switch is not compatible?

Of note, I previously used a Netgear Orbi with satellite, hardwired in the exact same configuration, and it worked.

Greetings, @dblsl! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your xFi Pod, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

In our xFi Pod FAQs (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfi-pods-faqs), it mentions a known incompatibility with certain managed switches, but an unmanaged switch shouldn't cause the same issues. It sounds like you've already done a good amount of testing with this setup, but if your switch works as expected without the pod, and your pod works as expected without the switch, then you may still have a compatibility issue.

Other users have reported they could only set up a backhaul with certain Ethernet ports on their XB8. You may want to try moving things around, to see if that helps, but I'm guessing the xFi Pod requires a very specific throughput in order to make a stable connection, so everything else just ends up getting rejected.
